Nourished by Clouds and Mist,
The Legend of Oriental Beauty.
Here, there are no shortcuts—only reverence for the land and an obsession with crafting the perfect cup.
Hsu Yao-Liang Tea Garden is a poetic symphony of flavor, co-authored with Nature.
Terroir: The Home of Oriental Beauty
Why Emei, Hsinchu?
Located north of the Tropic of Cancer, the unique basin terrain—humid, windless, and hot—creates a one-of-a-kind microclimate. The mineral-rich red soil and this distinct environment make it the perfect habitat for the "Green Leafhopper" (Jacobiasca formosana).
We insist on pesticide-free farming, allowing weeds and tea trees to coexist. We know that only a pure ecosystem can invite the Green Leafhopper to stay and bestow a precious "honey kiss" upon the tea leaves. This is not a pest; it is a gift from nature.
Tea Making: A Dialogue with Time
The production process of Oriental Beauty Tea is the most complex and variable among all tea types.
Starting with the hand-picking of "one bud, two leaves," we race against time in the scorching summer heat. This is followed by withering, stirring, fermentation, and fixation. Every step relies not on machine settings, but on the tea maker's hands and sense of smell to perceive the subtle changes in the tea leaves.
As Hsu Yao-Liang often says: "The tea leaves will tell you when they are ready."
This pursuit of perfection in every detail is the secret behind our numerous National Special Prize championships.
Our Core Beliefs
Single Estate
Self-grown, self-made, and self-sold. We never blend teas, ensuring that every leaf comes from our carefully tended gardens in Emei.
Eco-Friendly
Friendly to the land, following the seasons. We believe that good tea comes from a healthy ecosystem, coexisting with the Green Leafhopper.
Traditional Craft
Despite technological advances, we adhere to traditional methods to preserve the most authentic, honey-scented flavor of Oriental Beauty Tea.
We Invite You to Savor Our Dedication
Every cup of tea is our tribute to the land and craftsmanship.
